Heavy Rigid Road Ranger Non Synchromesh

Holding a Non-Synchromesh HR licence allows you to drive any rigid vehicle with 3 or more axles, including bus or truck, greater than 8 tonnes GVM with either a non-synchro, synchro or auto gear box.

A Heavy Rigid Non-Synchromesh vehicle truck licence can be suitable for operating the following vehicles: excavation vehicles, mining vehicles, local freight distribution trucks, fire trucks, passenger coaches, garbage trucks and  garden centre trucks. This licence is required to be able to drive all Non-Syncromesh Trucks. i.e. vehicles with a road ranger or crash gearbox.

In order to get your Heavy Rigid (HR truck) licence, you must have held an Australian car licence for at least 24 months.

Truck Licencing issued by CTM Training Solutions (VicRoads Accredited Driver Trainers). Truck licence Training and assessment takes place at 191 Colchester Rd, Kilsyth VIC 3137

Please note that you need to be 18 years of age or over to receive your licence. Please ensure you read The Victorian Bus and Truck Drivers’ Handbook before you sit your licence test.

Licence Fees: $27.40pp payable at Vic Roads once you have received your Certificate of Competence
